Tjärnblom
Tjärnblom - Mary, Joe, Val and Cheryl are friends who get
together to play Scandinavian music. They travel the modern
“Snoose Boulevard Highway” and go where the music takes them.
Their repertoire consists of tunes, old and new, both for dancing and
listening, played on nyckelharpas, fiddles, mandolins and a
harmonium. They take the name Tjärnbloms in honor of Cheryl's
Swedish grandfather. They released their first recording "Nicollet
Island Waltz" in 2014 and it is available directly from them, or from
the American Swedish Institute, the Minnesota History Center, or
Ingebretsens gift shop. It's also possible to purchase it online from Ingebretsens.
