ASI Lilla Spelmanslag

The American Swedish Institute Lilla Spelmanslag was started in 1993. The group strives to learn and preserve the traditional Swedish fiddle music. The Lilla Spelmanslag participates in several events hosted by the ASI and ASI Spelmanslag and enjoys performing all around the Twin Cities area. The Lilla Spelmanslag is now lead by Annika Spargo -- a former and founding member of the Lilla Spelmanslag. The group rehearses every Thursday for an hour. In the summer of 2007, the Lilla Spelmanslag hopes to travel to Sweden and are currently fundraising to do so.
