Nisswa-stämman Scandinavian Folk Music Festival, June 7 & 8, 2019, features 150 folk musicians performing on 5 stages, day-long dancing opportunities on two dance floors, dance instruction, a cultural children's activity tent, and great Scandinavian food...all under the shade of the majestic Norway pines of the Nisswa Pioneer Village in Nisswa, Minnesota. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary and we have a very special line up of award winning, (and we really do mean award winning!) musicians coming from Scandinavia. They include: Mette Jensen, Kristian Bugge & Morten Høirup - master musicians from Denmark on fiddle, accordion, guitar and voice; Lena Jonsson & Arvid Svenungsson -  innovative and awarded musicians from Sweden on fiddle and piano; Smålands Spelmanslag - large traditional music group from Småland, Sweden featuring fiddles, nyckelharpa and guitar; Bjørn Kåre Odde & Ole Nilssen - award winning musicians from Norway on fiddle and accordion; Tero Hyvaluoma & Esko Järvelä - award winning, high energy fiddlers from Finland;  Teija Niku & Sara Pajunen - Finland/USA, a favorite duo at Nisswastämman, playing Finnish music with deep emotion on accordion and violin; Einar Eimhjellen trio - traditional music of Norway played on harmonica, accordion and hardingfele. USA groups and individuals appearing include the American Swedish Institute Spelmanslag, the Twin Cities Nyckelharpalag, the Twin Cities Hardingfelelag, Hutenanny, Tjärnblom, the Stoney Brook Fiddlers, Ole Olssons Oldtime Orkestra, Skål Klubben Spelmanslag, Ivares Pojkarna, Skålmusik, Finn Hall Band, Dwight Lamb, Bronwyn Bird & Justin Nawn, Ross Sutter, Kip Peltoniemi, Loretta Kelley and many others!
